Luke eddy
Co-Founder & President of Sourcing
Having started his career in the bright city Melbourne lights as a litigation lawyer, Luke’s career then transitioned across to the world of fashion. This led to him packing up his bags and moving into the unknown, setting up the Asian headquarters for an Australian fashion business in Hangzhou, China. What was planned to be a 2-year stopover turned into a 10-year life changing experience. This is where Luke’s passion for all things sourcing and manufacturing blossomed.
Upon finally returning home to Australia, Luke moved across to the toy industry, where he was appointed to the role of head of product at the ASX listed Funtastic. After 4 years, he pivoted to a role in a private equity firm for 1 year, but the fun of the toy industry lured him back, leading to a move to ToyMonster International as the global head of sourcing. Here he became a market leader in the impulse space, building brands that were sold into the largest toy retailers in over 50 countries.
As someone who always has around hundreds of toys at his desk that he gets to play with all day long, he says he has the best job in the world, as do his 3 young kids, who are very proud to test Dad’s toys with all their friends!

Hi there! I'm a toy enthusiast with over 20 years of experience in the toy industry, and I've had a blast every step of the way. My adventure began in 1999, and for 13 fantastic years, I worked at Funrise in Los Angeles. Next, my toy-tastic career took me to Hunter Products in Melbourne, Australia. I spent two exciting years with Hunter Products, where I became the Master Toy partner for the Wiggles License. I also created the All Dressed Up role play line for Walmart USA, adding a sprinkle of fun to kids' dress-up games.
After my Hunter Products journey I had an amazing opportunity at Toymonster. There, I unleashed the incredible Jurassic dinosaur collectibles, making them roar into the hearts of kids worldwide.
I'm all about innovation, creativity, and bringing the magic of toys to life. Let's keep the fun rolling and continue to create toys that spark joy and imagination for children everywhere!

Having grown my family business Hunter Products from a successful distribution business in Australia to a multinational enterprise, I pride myself on a record of developing global relationships & delivering strategies for growth through distribution & innovation. My success stories over the years include bringing iconic brands to market such as Disney Frozen, DreamWorks / Universal, The Wiggles, Zhu Zhu Pets and Magnetix to name a few.
With an inherent entrepreneurial spirit, I have a passion for the toy industry. I am commercially minded and have a determination and zest for life which we will carry forward in the creation of Good Idea Global. Diversification in Product Development and Customer Base underpinned by Innovation will be part of everything we do in this new and exciting adventure. I am delighted and excited to be part of this talented team.
